Moline Visit – Fall 2016

I’m spending the week visiting my mom in Moline. The weather was very nice on Wednesday. So after visiting an Asian grocery store in East Moline, we stopped by Ben Butterworth Park by the Mississippi River. Here’s a picture.

One evening, my mom fixed me a “Field Roast” from the Grain Meat Company. It’s made from wheat gluten. The texture isn’t the same as real meat but it was still tasty and enjoyable.

  1. Dear Mr Pau,

I am a cub scout leader of the 7th Hong Kong Group, who is currently doing some research on the history of my scout group. I know from a couple of sources that your grandfather, John Pau (鮑德漢), was the founding Group Scoutmaster of the 7th Hong Kong Group, and your father, Ian Thomas Pau, once joined the scout troop as a patrol leader.

If there is any information that you can share on the scouting lives of your father and grandfather, please do so. My scout group and I would be very grateful.

    Best regards,
    Dominic Lo
